Australia’s Nation Brand was on show at the halfway line during Matildas’ opening match against the Republic of Ireland at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™ on Thursday, 20 July.
In front of a record 75,784 fans – the biggest crowd for a women’s football game in Australia – the Matildas won the match defeating Ireland 1-0 at Stadium Australia, Sydney – Wangal.
Australia’s Nation Brand will also feature at Matildas’ remaining group matches in Brisbane / Meaanjin, Melbourne/ Naarm and various tournament matches held across Australia.
Balarinji, the Indigenous designers who created the brandmark, attended as Austrade’s special guests.
